A follow up to Elevating Voices for Community Solutions Listening Sessions


On Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) the Scranton Area Community Foundation invites you to attend a virtual Shared Services Forum (via Zoom) to explore options for shared capacity services.

At this forum, you’re invited to share your organization’s specific capacity needs and challenges, including but not limited to:

  • Health Insurance
  • Human Resources
  • Translation
  • Payroll
  • Web Design & Maintenance
  • Grounds keeping

Come ready to discuss your organization’s specific needs! By convening this discussion to pinpoint specific needs, we hope to arrive at common solutions to benefit our community nonprofit organizations.

Background on the forum

On Tuesday, December 6, and Wednesday, December 7, the Scranton Area Community Foundation convened community leaders, nonprofit professionals, and other stakeholders at the Hilton Scranton for “Elevating Voices for Community Solutions“, a forum to address critical topics and challenges outlined in the City of Scranton’s Strategic Economic Development Plan.

An emerging trend from this forum was the need for additional capacity expressed by many of our local nonprofits – capacity for operational necessities such as administrative functions that can free up individuals for other important work.

In response to this need, SAF will hold a virtual Shared Services Forum to explore options for shared capacity services on February 23, 2023 at 12 p.m.
