– Student must have graduated from a Lackawanna County high school
– Student must plan on attending a college, university, or technical school located in Pennsylvania
– Student must maintain a B average or higher
– Preference will be shown to student with at least one parent that served, or is serving, in the military and/or one parent who is deceased
– Student must demonstrate academic achievement and/or be an Honors Student
– Student must demonstrate good citizenship and service to others
– Student must demonstrate leadership
– Student must be either an employee of Gerrity’s Supermarkets and/or Gerrity’s ACE Hardware Stores for at least twelve (12) months or have a parent or step-parent who has been employed at least three (3) years at Gerrity’s Supermarkets and/or Gerrity’s ACE Hardware Stores
– Student must plan to attend post-secondary education at an accredited institution of higher learning
– Student must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
– The student must be a graduating senior from Northeastern Pennsylvania
– The student must be pursuing secondary education
– The student must demonstrate participation in golf, including playing on a school or similar recreational league or working at a golf course, including as a caddie or maintenance crew, or in the bag room or pro shop
– The student must complete an essay on the importance of what this scholarship would mean to them if awarded
– Preference, in the following order, will be shown to students who have demonstrated financial need, leadership skills, academic excellence, and who have volunteered in the community
– The student must be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a nursing program working to obtain their certification or degree towards becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), LIcensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN), or nurse educator
– The student must be a resident of Lackawanna, Luzerne, or Wyoming County
– Preference, in the following order, will be shown to applying students who are currently practicing in or planning to practice in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and who have a demonstrated financial need
