Established in February 2019 in honor of Patrick Andrew Luptak, Jr., this fund distributes scholarships annually to one graduating senior from North Pocono School District and two graduating seniors from any Lackawanna County High School. To qualify, students shall have demonstrated the following characteristics: ambition, goals to complete secondary education, involvement in school activities; community involvement and service to others; being active in sports; and maintaining a grade point average of “C” or better. Financial need is not a stated criteria but may be considered in selecting a candidate for the scholarship. Special interests in science, technology, agriculture, or chemistry are not state criteria but may be considered in selecting a candidate for the scholarship.
