Our Mission
The Greater Scranton MLK Commission aims to work inclusively with community partners to improve interracial relations everywhere. We encourage economic and social growth within our minority communities and recognize those individuals who have contributed towards the economic and social growth within our minority communities. We promote principles of non-violence, equality and love and tell the stories of the struggles and continued progress. Additional goals of the commission are to provide education and leadership training for adults and youth.

Through the fund, the Greater Scranton MLK Commission seeks to support its mission through projects and programs designed to promote principles of nonviolence, equity, and love through education and service.
