Established in May 2021 by the United Nations Association (UNA) – USA of Northeast Pennsylvania, the fund supports projects in schools and community-based youth organizations that promote global awareness, citizenship and development. The 5 Goals of the Fund are to support projects that: 1. Directly address one or more of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, 2. Involve international classroom to classroom connections through the use of technology such as Zoom, 3. Have schools and community-based youth organizations form partnerships with non-profit organizations, corporations, higher educational institutions, civic groups and governments, 4. Achieve sustainability beyond the term of the grant, 5. Establish strong methods for measuring outcomes and assessing the impact of each project
