The NEPA Pride Coalition Fund was established in November 2022 by the NEPA Pride Coalition with the purpose of supporting the mission of the NEPA Pride Coalition. NEPA Pride Coalition is dedicated to enhancing the lives of LGBTQIA+ individuals and families in the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and surrounding areas in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Data shows this population is impacted by substance use and other mental health conditions disproportionately higher than the general public. The coalition envisions a system of community service providers that are affirming and supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community. They aim to facilitate this vision through advocacy, education, and community engagement.
