The Laura Wesolowski Scholarship Fund was established in memory of a long-term employee and manager of the McDonald’s in Clarks Summit, PA. The scholarship is intended to support an employee of a McDonald’s in the Northeastern Pennsylvania region who is pursuing a post-secondary education. Preference will be given to students who are interested in the hospitality industry, have a demonstrated financial need, and who exemplify the characteristics and values of Laura. Laura exemplified many superior leadership qualities in her role as a restaurant manager at the Clarks Summit McDonald’s for over thirty years. She was a dedicated manager who fostered respect and hard work among her employees. She trained and developed countless individuals, many who worked with Laura as their first job and went on to have successful careers in their fields of interest. Laura loved to travel, and she was blessed to visit countless places with her family. Whether it be a cruise, a day trip, or a simple ride in the car, she found happiness in seeing all this world had to offer. Laura was blessed with the gift of decorating and making arts and crafts. Family was the greatest joy in Laura’s life. She found great joy and satisfaction being in the service of others as she devoted her life to placing the needs of others above herself.
