– Student must be a graduating senior at Scranton High School
– Student must have been accepted into vocational, technical school, or a 2-4 year college or university
– Student demonstrates good scholarship, citizenship, and service to others
– Preference will be given to students who are the first generation in their family to attend a post-secondary school

Sean J. Calpin Automotive Technology Scholarship

– The student must demonstrate characteristics of academic achievement (with a minimum ‘B’ average), good citizenship and service to others, and have a keen interest in the automotive technology field.
– The student must have completed at least one semester at Johnson College at the time of selection for the award, and shall be enrolled as a student at Johnson College with the scholarship is granted.

– Student must demonstrate characteristics of academic achievement, good citizenship/service to others and community service, and leadership
– Student should be intending to pursue an advanced degree or certification in the fields of Engineering, Agriculture, Gas Drilling, or Forestry

The Paramo Foundation Scholarship Award

– The student must be a resident of Lackawanna County
– The student must intend to pursue a secondary education in a trades program at a college or university (includes, but is not limited to, cosmetology programs)
– Student must submit an essay about what the scholarship would mean to them
– Student must receive at least one letter of recommendation from a non-family member
– Preference, in the following order, will be shown to students who have demonstrated: financial need, high academic achievement (GPA of 3.5 or higher), a strong attendance record, and military service (including returning veteran or active military)
