You’re invited to attend the Women in Philanthropy Annual Celebration on the evening of Wednesday, November 8, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at POSH at the Scranton Club.
Join us as we celebrate the impact Women in Philanthropy has made on the lives of women, girls, and their families in NEPA over the past nine years, and you’ll get a glimpse of what’s to come for Women in Philanthropy in 2024.

In addition to sharing updates during the Women in Philanthropy Annual Celebration, we will honor two dynamic women in our community through the Margaretta Belin Chamberlin Award and the Roseann Smith Alperin Award.
Meet the 2023 Award Recipients!
The Margaretta Belin Chamberlin Award is presented annually to a woman whose vision, dedication, and courage have enhanced the quality of life and expanded the opportunities for the people within her community and whose creative interests, energies, and service to others have contributed substantially to the betterment of her community.
The 2023 Margarettta Belin Chamberlin Award recipient is Karen Clifford.
The Roseann Smith Alperin Award is presented annually to an outstanding woman who exhibits the capacity to lead, motivate, and inspire others and the community she serves.
The 2023 Roseann Smith Alperin Award recipient is Natalie O’Hara.
Both awards are presented annually through the support of charitable funds established at the Scranton Area Community Foundation. These charitable funds were established to memorialize a loved one and to honor qualities of leadership and excellence that exist in members of our community.
