Your Response Needed!

Announcing the NEPA Rescue Veterinary Clinic
The NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative, through various discussions and through a survey conducted in early 2000, has identified a critical shortage of veterinarians available to support the community’s rescue animals.

Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, one of our partners in the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative, is committed to supporting our rescue partners and is honored and excited to present an innovative solution that will positively impact the majority of our region’s rescued animals, homeless animals awaiting adoption in shelters, and those housed in sanctuaries. Through Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, we will be opening the NEPA Veterinary Rescue Clinic, which will offer veterinary services by a shelter medicine licensed vet to treat animals of NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative (501c3) members. This will enable the animals at many regional animal rescue organizations, sanctuaries, and shelters to receive care at a fraction of the cost of private veterinary services.

As we draw closer to opening the NEPA Rescue Veterinary Clinic, our veterinarian would like to more accurately gauge the volume and types of services that are needed from each of you. So, we ask that each 501c3 member of the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative convened by the Scranton Area Community Foundation complete one survey by Monday, May 10, 2021. If you are unsure whether your organization is designated as 501c3 or not, please do complete the survey. Please do not submit more than one survey per group. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Indra Lahiri at Indraloka Animal Sanctuary at indra@indraloka.org.
