PA State Director of the Humane Society of the United States to speak at the next NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative Meeting
We are pleased to announce that Kristen Tullo, PA State Director from the Humane Society of the United States, will be speaking at our next NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative Meeting, which will take place at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 6:00 p.m.
PA State Director of the Humane Society of the United States, Kristen Tullo, will speak about advocacy skills in relation to animal issues and what makes successful movements work. Ms. Tullo has done corporate outreach work for the Humane Society of the United States’ farm animal protection efforts and has lobbied at the state level and campaigned at Humane Lobby Day. She is a Pennsylvania State University graduate who has focused her research on social change initiatives for animal protection.
Additionally, during this meeting, we’ll provide updates on the goals, mission, and vision of the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative, as we move into breakout committees focused on goals and objectives.

The NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative is a project of The Scranton Area Community Foundation. Established in 2019, the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative is a collective of animal shelters, rescues, advocates, and sanctuaries in the region that are interested in coming together to advance various causes in animal welfare and to increase the collective resources available to these agencies. Activities of the collaborative include education, professional development, fundraising and other practices that move the goals of the collaborative forward. The Scranton Area Community Foundation serves as the convener of the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative.
