New Grant Opportunity!

The MHA Memorial Shelter/Rescue Fund at the Scranton Area Community Foundation is currently seeking applications from nonprofit organizations in support of animal shelters or animal rescue efforts. The MHA Memorial Shelter/Rescue Fund will award a limited number of grants in amounts up to $4,500. Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

Apply for a Grant from the MHA Memorial Shelter/Rescue Fund

The MHA Memorial Shelter/Rescue Fund was established in May 2019 in memory of Mary H. Acker to support animal shelters or rescues. Specifically, the purpose of the fund is to support Pennsylvania animal shelters and/or rescues that have a no-kill policy, and which are working to help abused, abandoned, or injured dogs.

Grant applications for the MHA Memorial Shelter/Rescue Fund will be accepted through the online grants portal at the Scranton Area Community Foundation until Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
