The Scranton Small Business Relief Fund was established by community-minded volunteers to help ensure that both employees and owners of small businesses get through the tough economic times brought on by the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Both employees and owners of small businesses in Scranton are eligible to apply for hardship funding such as rental assistance and other necessary expenses from The Scranton Small Business Relief Fund,” Scranton Area Community Foundation President and CEO Laura Ducceschi stated. “The more money that is raised for this fund, the more people in need that make up the backbone of our small business community will be able to receive help. It is an incredible opportunity to directly help people.”
The inaugural Scranton Ice Festival, which will be held on Friday, February 5, through Sunday, February 7, 2021, in Downtown Scranton, was established to support the Scranton Small Business Relief Fund. This free and largely outdoor festival will be an opportunity for the community to safely patronize local businesses and generate charitable support for small business owners and employees experiencing hardship during the coronavirus pandemic. All proceeds from this nonprofit event and its sponsorships will go towards this charitable fund. Contributions are tax-deductible.
