Know a dynamic woman committed to the community?
Nominate her for the 2020 Margaretta Belin Chamberlin Award or the Roseann Smith Alperin Award!
The Margaretta Belin Chamberlin Award and the Roseann Smith Alperin Award are two separate awards that are presented annually through charitable funds established at the Scranton Area Community Foundation. Both awards are provided from charitable funds that were established both to memorialize a loved one and to honor qualities of excellence that exist in members of our community.
Nominations will be accepted until Thursday, July 23, 2020.

The Margaretta Belin Chamberlin Award has been presented since1992 when a fund was established by the family of Margaretta Belin Chamberlin both to honor her memory and to recognize the accomplishments of women in our community while encouraging their personal and/or professional development. The award is given annually to either a volunteer or professional woman who exemplifies the characteristics of Margaretta, including community-mindedness, tolerance, sensitivity, and leadership.

Nominations for the Margaretta Belin Chamberlin Award may be made by any charitable organization or submitted by an individual. The award may be used by the recipient to enhance her role as a community leader interested in improving the quality of life in Lackawanna County.
