Our featured speaker will be Tara Czekaj, Pittsburgh’s Humane Policy Leader.

Tara will talk about the 2021 plans she created for the Animal Friends Humane Legislation Committee and how they prioritized Pittsburgh’s direction for the year. We will learn from this model in order to help move forward the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative’s next steps in humane advocacy.

Topics we’ll discuss include the legislative Bill to end live pigeon shoots; moving Victoria’s Law forward, and pursuing a ban on wildlife killing contests. We will also discuss the next steps in conversations with the City of Scranton; Developing the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative Code of Ethics; Humane Policy Volunteer position opportunities; and spay/neuter and TNR topics.

We are looking forward to your participation.
