About NEPA Gives
NEPA Gives is a one-day online giving extravaganza that’s all about giving back to the community. Scranton Area Community Foundation along with 5 other foundations in NEPA have joined together to help nonprofits raise money to achieve their missions. Since NEPA Gives is online, it is an easily accessible means for donors to support ALL of their favorite local charities at one time. NEPA Gives helps nonprofits aim to increase awareness of their cause, region, or organization and rally supporters during a designated time with reliable, modern fundraising software that plays a critical role in making the day of giving a success.
About the Position
The intern will work closely with the staff of the Scranton Area Community Foundation to ensure the success of the 2022 NEPA Gives online giving day. While NEPA Gives is 24 hours of giving, there are months of planning and coordination required prior to the event to make the day a success. This position will be an important part of the preparation and implementation, and will require interfacing with nonprofit organizations, understanding and navigating the giving day software, and assisting with the technical details of creating a successful fundraising event for the entire region.
Length of Position
February 7, 2022 – July 1, 2022
Please note that NEPA Gives will take place on June 3, 2022, so availability is critical on that day and the weeks preceding and following that date.
