All of the NEPAAWC’s Upcoming Events!

The NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative has a lot going on in the next few weeks!

Take a look at some of our upcoming events below!

The NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative knows that the need is great for rabies vaccinations and microchipping for companion animals in our community!

On Saturday, August 26th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM we will be hosting a rabies vaccination and microchip clinic at the Community Room at Nay Aug Park, in Scranton, with the NEPA Rescue Vet, Dr. Leslie Interlandi.

This clinic is donation-based, meaning participants can donate what they can. The NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative is hoping to help limit the financial burdens on pet owners concerned about prices of veterinary care.

For more information, refer to the flier below. Those interested can make appointments at the link below, but walk-ins will be accepted as well!

We ask that you share this information with your followers and supporters, so we can help as many animals as possible.

If you would like to volunteer for this event, please email Bella@SAFDN.org. We will need volunteers for the following:

• Writing out rabies certificates
• Registering microchips
• Intake forms
• Crowd control
• And more!

Throughout the months of August and September, the “Arts to the Rescue” exhibit at AFA Gallery in Scranton will be on display to benefit the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative.

There are several exciting events during the run of the show:

• Adoption events on Saturday, August 12th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Friday, August 18th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM!
• Pet photos on August 19th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• First Friday on September 1st from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Closing Reception on September 16th

We are grateful for our partnership with AFA Gallery. All of the art featured in the exhibit is available for purchase. The entire collection can be found at the link below!

Our next quarterly meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 12th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Century Club, 612 Jefferson Ave, Scranton.

We look forward to discussing current events in the animal welfare community, and finding solutions to problems our members are facing. Please RSVP for this meeting at the link below!

On Saturday, September 23rd from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, we will be having another adoption event at Tunkhannock Ford, 1110 Hunter Hwy, Tunkhannock!
